BARTRAM: The death of Nellie Bartram, widow of David, occurred on December 15, 2002 at the Assiniboine Centre at the age of 90. Nellie was born on May 14, 1912 to John and Mary Sabeski of Angusville, Manitoba. She married David Bartram in 1933 and raised four daughters on their farm in Birtle. Nellie had resided in Brandon since September of 1996. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters: Irene (Ray) Mintenko of Thompson, MB, Lucy (Jerry) Gurniak of Gerald, SK, Betty (Bert) Sokolan and Mabel Stouffer, both of Brandon. She was also survived by twelve grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren and three sisters. Nellie was predeceased by her parents, John and Mary Sabeski; husband, David; son-in-law, Denis Stouffer; five sisters and five brothers. Cremation has taken place. The graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, December 21, 2002 at the Birtle Cemetery. Rev. Tom McQuiston will officiate. Donation in memory of Nellie may be made to a charity of choice.
