Lewis: Nathan passed away November 23, 2005 after a brief illness. Following
Nathan's wishes, a private family service was officiated by Rev. Michael
Skliros, Legion Padre, at Memories Chapel on November 26, 2005. Interment
has taken place at the Veteran's Section of the Brandon Cemetery. Nathan was
born August 29, 1934 in St. John's, Newfoundland. He served three
years in the Canadian Army. Nathan moved to Manitoba in 1965. He owned and
operated various business ventures during his life. The last 30 years he ran
Ken's New and Used Furniture on Rosser Avenue. He thoroughly enjoyed meeting
all the people over the years and could never see himself retiring. He
leaves to mourn his wife Loretta, three daughters: Kate (Henry), Bonny
(Jeff), and Brenda; two sons: Ken (Julie) and Dave (Cindy). He had six
grandchildren: Dallas, Austin, Matthew, Meghan, Ryann and Ty. Also
surviving in Newfoundland are three brothers and one sister and many nieces
and nephews. Donations in memory of Nathan may be made to the
Canadian Cancer Society.
