WILLSON: The death of Muriel "Moodie" Willson occurred in the city on Sunday, April 9, 2006. Muriel was born on June 24, 1920 in Brandon, one of Harry and Annie Rohlfs five children. Moodie attended school until grade 11 and then entered the work force. She had many jobs housecleaning and waitressing. She married Stanley Willson and they had two children, David and Patricia. Moodie started at the Assiniboine Hospital and held various positions during her time there and retired in 1984. She was very active in the labour movement in Brandon and held all positions in her local of CUPE, served on the Brandon Labour Council and the Minimum Wage Board. She enjoyed playing scrabble, watching her favorite shows on television and especially spending time with her pets. Moodie will be lovingly remembered by: her children, David (Gail) and Patricia; grandchildren, Jaime (James) Leader, Sarah Willson and Zachary Willson; great grandchildren, Brandon and Conner Leader. She will also be greatly missed by: her brother, Carl (Mary) Rohlfs; nephews, Rick Rohlfs and Jerry Clark; and niece, Laura (Glen Birkhan). She was predeceased by: her husband, Stanley Willson; parents, Harry and Annie Rohlfs; brother, Fred Rohlfs; sisters, Gladys Rohlfs and Dora (George) Clark; and nephew, Harry Rohlfs. The Funeral Ceremony was held at Memories Chapel on Thursday, April 13, 2006. Interment followed in the Brandon Cemetery. Flowers are gratefully declined.
