Obituary

COX: Mildred May "Midge" Cox, beloved wife of Wilbert of Brandon, occurred peacefully in the city on Saturday, August 27, 2005. The Funeral Ceremony will be held at Memories Chapel, 330-18th Street North on Tuesday, August 30, 2005 at 2:00 pm. Interment will follow in the Rosewood Memorial Gardens. COX: The death of Mildred May "Midge" Cox, beloved wife of Wilbert of Brandon, occurred peacefully in the city on Saturday, August 27, 2005. Midge was born on January 17, 1933 in Glenella, Manitoba, the daughter of John and Mary Wilson. She obtained her education while living in the Glenella area. Midge worked as a sales associate in a local shoe store. She married Wilbert Cox and together they raised three children, Delores, Murray and Robert. Midge enjoyed baking, playing bingo, ceramics and spending time with her family and friends. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Wilbert; children, Delores (James) McTavish, Murray (Karen) Cox, and Robert (Carron) Cox; grandchildren, Eric and Bree McTavish and Jared Cox; great grandchildren, Kaden, Blaise and Nolan. Midge will also be greatly missed by her brothers, Wilmur Wilson and Fred Wilson. She was predeceased by her parents, John and Mary (nee Hills) Wilson; twin sister, Kathleen; brothers, Delbert and Edgar Wilson. The Funeral Ceremony was held at Memories Chapel on Tuesday, August 30, 2005. Rev. Barbara Jardine officiated. Eulogy was given by Dennis Brugger. Pallbearers were: Kevin Brugger, Harvey Boxall, Gordon Anderson, Brian Brugger, Dennis Boxall and Tom Commer. Interment followed in Rosewood Memorial Gardens. Friends who wish may make a donation in memory of Midge to the Arthritis Society, 153-8th Street, Brandon, Manitoba R7A 3W9. Expressions of Sympathy may be forwarded to memorieschapel@mts.net.
