With family by her side, Mildred Gladys Collard (née Martin) of Brandon, Manitoba, went to be with Jesus on June 3, 2016, at the Brandon Regional Health Centre. Mildred was born on November 17, 1926 in Ardath, Saskatchewan to Ernest and Muriel Martin. She grew up and attended school in Armley, Saskatchewan. At the age of 11, she gave her heart to Jesus and was later baptized on the same day as her mother. She obtained her Registered Nurse Diploma from the Moose Jaw School of Nursing; a profession she has already passed down to three of her grandchildren.
On December 18, 1956 she married the love of her life, Richard "Dick" Collard. Together they spent their lives raising five children, caring for adults with mental illnesses in their home, and sharing Jesus' love with all who knew them. Mildred was an avid traveler, whether it was exploring Israel or driving across Canada in her VW Jetta to visit grandchildren.
Having predeceased her, husband Dick and sweet granddaughter Tara Collard were waiting for Mildred in heaven, along with her brother Harry Martin. She is lovingly survived by her children: James (Mary) Collard, Audrey (John) Loge, Elaine Reinke, Lorne (Lynn) Collard, and Gordon (Melanie) Collard; eleven grandchildren as well as a brother, Russell Martin.
The Funeral Ceremony will be held at Faith Fellowship Baptist Church, 4 Willowdale Crescent, on Saturday, June 11, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Dan Pope officiating. Pallbearers will be Jonathan Reinke, Dale Reinke, John Loge, Austin Collard, Jason Collard and Jarid Collard. Interment will take place at the Sparling Cemetery with a reception to follow at the church.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Turtle Mountain Bible Camp where Mildred enjoyed J.O.Y. camp every year.

We miss you mom.
