Obituary

SCHESNUK: The death of Michael Stephen Schesnuk of Brandon occurred on January 19, 2005. Michael was born on March 3, 1957 in Brandon. He attended school at Earl Hagg until grade nine. At the age of 19, Michael moved to Calgary where he was married and later divorced. As a young child, Michael enjoyed playing baseball and continued his love for the outdoors as he grew up. He spent many hours hunting and fishing around the Dauphin and Waterhen area and enjoyed camping with his family. He was also part of a bowling league. Michael achieved an Interior Decorating and Painting Certificate from Red River Community College and spent his working years painting and decorating, which was his passion. He also worked at Springhill Farms and had various other part-time jobs as a labourer. Michael is survived by his daughters, Desirae and Jaclyn Schesnuk; his father Peter; brother Richard of Lloydminster, Alberta; sisters Patricia of St. Albert, Alberta and Helen (John) St. Germain of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan; niece Venda Schesnuk; nephews Brandon Schesnuk, Jason St. Germain and Mark St. Germain; an aunt and two uncles. He was predeceased by his mother, Lillian Schesnuk; grandparents and infant daughter, Dawn. The Ceremony to Celebrate Mike's Life was held at Memories Chapel, 330-18th Street North, on Monday, January 24, 2005. Urn bearer was his father, Peter Schesnuk.
