SADOWSKI: Michael Sadowski of Brandon passed away on Wednesday, April 23, 2003. Prayers will be said at Memories Chapel, 330-18th Street North, on Thursday, April 24, 2003 at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Augustine's Roman Catholic Church, 327-4th Street on Friday, April 25, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. Celebrant will be Fr. Eric Giddins. Interment will follow in the Brandon Cemetery. Friends who wish may make a donation in memory of Michael to a charity of choice. Complete obituary information to follow. SADOWSKI: Michael Sadowski of Fairview Home, passed away on Wednesday, April 23, 2003. Michael was born in Poland on March 15, 1917, son of John and Mary Sadowski. He received his early schooling in Poland. Michael enlisted in the army during World War II, serving with the British 8th Army. He immigrated to Canada in 1946 and upon his arrival, worked in Portage La Prairie before moving to Brandon. He worked as a painter at Hillside Town Houses until his retirement. Michael was a lifelong member of the Sokol Club. He enjoyed hunting and fishing prior to his health failing. Michael loved spending time with his family, especially the grandchildren. He is survived by: his wife Jeanette; daughter Joanne (Grant) Allan; son Don (Teresa) Sadowski and grandchildren, Shayne, Devin and Brett Allan, Christopher and Andrea Sadowski. Michael will also be missed by: his sister-in-law, Dorothy Bach; one brother and two sisters from Poland. He was predeceased by: his parents John and Mary Sadowski; in-laws Joe and Ann Kruk; two brothers and one sister also from Poland. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Augustine's Roman Catholic Church on Friday, April 25, 2003. Celebrant was Fr. Eric Giddins. Pallbearers were Shayne Allan, Devin Allan, Rob Ryan, Ron Ryan, Bernie Wielgosh, and Joe Wojnicz. Honorary Pallbearers were all in attendance. Interment followed in the Brandon Cemetery.
