Obituary

Mavis Colleen Pangman, age 89, of Brandon, MB passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at the Brandon Regional Health Centre with family by her side.

Mavis always loved being around her family and friends. She was full of love and compassion for those around her. Mavis will be forever remembered for always seeing the best in everyone and opening her heart and home generously.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter Shelly (Oral) Gurr; grandchildren, Braden (Ashley) Gurr, Sarah (Brett) Morgan, David Waldie, Tara Waldie, Krista (Matt) Neufeld; great-grandchildren, Charlotte, Violet & Jade Gurr, Ella & Max Neufeld, Owen, Leo & Elliot Morgan; sister Darcy (David) Ross; sisters-in-law Regina Packard and Dallas (Eric) Schindler. Mavis will also be missed by many extended relatives from the Packard, Waldie and Pangman families, as well as her many loving friends.

Mavis was predeceased by husband David Waldie, husband Murray Pangman, son Blaine Waldie, parents Clarence and Frances Packard, brothers Harvey Packard, Lanny Packard, nephew Andrew Ross, and niece Selena Packard.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff on A3 and Palliative at the Assiniboine Centre for their compassionate care for Mavis.

In keeping with Mavis' wishes, a private family graveside service will take place at the Brandon Cemetery Columbarium at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Mavis may be made to the BRHC Foundation – Palliative Care, 150 McTavish Avenue East, Brandon MB, R7A 2B3 or a charity of your choice.
