DONNELLY: The death of Maurice Donnelly, beloved husband, father and grandfather, late of Brandon and formerly of Alexander, occurred in Brandon on October 10, 2008. A time of visitation and reception will be held at Memories Chapel on Friday, October 17, 2008 from 7:00 pm. to 8:30 pm. A private family service will be held. Donations in memory of Maurice may be made to the Alexander Cemetery Fund, Alexander, MB R0K 0A0 or to a charity of choice. Complete obituary information will follow. DONNELLY: The death of Maurice Donnelly, beloved husband, father and grandfather, late of Brandon and formerly of Alexander occurred in Brandon on October 10, 2008. Maurice was born in Brechin, Ontario on June 15, 1938, son of Ambrose and Mary Donnelly. As a young man, he lived in Toronto briefly before moving to Manitoba. In Manitoba, he lived in Churchill, Thompson and then Winnipeg, where he had the privilege of raising step-daughter, Susan. Upon meeting his wife Myrna, he relocated to Brandon. They married in 1983. Maurice became the step-father of three more girls, Jackie, Liana and Kim. They lived at Alexander for twenty-two years, where Maurice was able to enjoy his nine grandchildren. Maurice and Myrna had resided in Brandon for the past two months. Maurice had worked with the Addictions Foundation of Manitoba for a total of thirty-four years and past twenty-five years in Brandon and area. He enjoyed traveling and always had time for people whether he knew them or not. Surviving are: his wife, Myrna; daughters; Susan (Cal) Macaulay, Jackie (Rob) Walker, Liana (Ron) Rice, Kim (David) Gray; his grandchildren; Mark, Lise, Martin, Brynn, Liam, Dayne, Matea, Mikayla and Tylar. He also leaves a sister, Carmel (Bill) Winfield and brother, Bernard as well as numerous brothers and sisters - in -law, nieces and nephews. Maurice was predeceased by: his father, Ambrose, mother, Mary Frances (Clutchey) Donnelly, fourteen brothers and sisters and his father-in-law, Michael Cairns. . A time of visitation and reception will be held at Memories Chapel on Friday, October 17, 2008 from 7:00 pm. to 8:30 pm. A private family service will be held.
