WIENS: The death of Mary Wiens, widow of Henry Wiens, occurred at her residence, Fairview Home on Thursday, February 10, 2005. Mary was born in Siberia, Russia on October 15, 1916. The family moved to Canada in 1930. She married Henry Wiens and they farmed at McAuley, Manitoba. Henry predeceased her in 1989. She was also predeceased by: two infant children; a sister, Anne Penner; and an infant brother, Abe. Mary is survived by: her brothers, Jake Penner and Abe Driedger; sisters, Katie Driedger and Helen Loewen. There are numerous nieces and nephews. The Funeral Ceremony was held at Grace Mennonite Church on Tuesday, February 15, 2005. Viewing was held at the Church prior to the ceremony. Pastor Wil Warkentin officiated. Interment followed in the Sparling cemetery.
