Obituary

McKAY: The death of Patricia McKay of Brandon occurred in the city on Wednesday, January 25, 2006. Mrs. McKay was born at Broadview, Saskatchewan on November 4, 1923, daughter of Norbert and Dumtilda Sparvier. She had resided in Brandon for many years and was employed with the Federal Government. Mrs. McKay is survived by her son Donald (Lorraine) McKay and daughters, Cynthia (Tom) Smith, Maureen (Joe) Morgan and Beulah (Donald) Langford. There are eleven grandchildren and twenty-three great grandchildren. She is also survived by, her sister, Doris Bear. Mrs. McKay was predeceased by, her husband Fred and by brothers and sisters, Victor, Clifford, Mary, Bessie and Bella. A time of visitation for family and friends will be held at Memories Chapel, 330-18th Street North on Sunday evening, January 29, 2006 from 7:00 pm. to 8:30 pm. The Ceremony to Celebrate Patricia's Life will be held at Memories Chapel on Monday, January 30, 2006 at 1:00 pm. Capt. Garry Keeping of the Salvation Army will officiate. Friends who wish may make a donation in Patricia's memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, #3, 824-18th Street Brandon, MB R7A 5B7 or to a charity of choice.
