Obituary

LOWE: Mary Jane Lowe (nee Brown) passed away at her residence, Fairview Home on Thursday, September 18 2008. She was born at Oakner, Manitoba on June 27, 1912 and at an early age moved with her family to Togo, Saskatchewan. She later moved back to Harding, Manitoba. It was there that she met Selby Lowe and they were married on August 14, 1937. They lived on the farm until Selby's death in 1968. She then moved to Brandon in 1970 and called "The Towers" home until her move to Fairview Home in 2003. Mary enjoyed all aspects of farm life while raising her family. While on the farm and in later years, she enjoyed curling, travel, gardening and visits with family and friends. She is survived by: her son Barry (Nancy) of Devon, Alberta; daughter Karen (Alan) Philpott of Leduc, Alberta. There are six grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Mary was predeceased by; her husband Selby in May of 1968 and a daughter Corrine Lamond on April 12, 1999. At Mary's request a private family graveside service will be held at a later date. Mary's family wishes to express sincere thanks to Mary's second family, the staff at Fairview Home, fourth floor.
