LESTITION: Mary Lestition passed away at Fairview Home, on Saturday, November 4, 2006. Mary was born on July 13, 1915 in Brandon, Manitoba. She was an active member of St. Mary's Ukrainian Catholic Church the Ukrainian Reading Association Hall and the Ukrainian Catholic Women's League. She will be lovingly remembered by her children; Mervin (Susan) Lestition, of Burlington, ON, Brian (Marlene) Lestition of Beausejour and Joanne (Richard) Dyson of Ottawa, ON; her grandchildren, Bradley, Lisa, Patrick (Sarah) and Brett; Step-grandchild, Katie and great grandchild, Julie. She also leaves one sister, Ann Piasecki of Burlington, ON. There are also numerous nieces and nephews. Mary was predeceased by her husband of 68 years, Stephen. She was also predeceased by her parents, Nicholas and Konekunda Osmak and by brothers, Walter and Michael Osmack. Devine Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Mary's Ukrainian Catholic Church, 927 Assiniboine Avenue, on Tuesday, November 7, 2006 at 11:30 am. Celebrant will be Rev. Deacon Michael Strilec and Cantor, Mr. Tony Yuriy. Interment will follow in the Brandon Cemetery. In her memory Mary would like donations made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook Street, Winnipeg, MB R3C 9Z9. The family would like to extend a special thank you to all the staff of Fairview Home who came into Mary's life and provided the special attention and loving care that Mom needed. A special thank you also, to the staff of the Assiniboine Centre and to Home Care, who have cared for Mary over the last three years, including her family physician, Dr. Duncan.
