SAUNDERS: Marjorie Jane Saunders, formerly of St. Catharines, ON, passed away at her residence, Fairview Home, on Thursday, January 25, 2007. Marjorie is survived by: her beloved daughter, Carol (John) English of Brandon and son Frank (Annette) Saunders of Hollywood, California. She also leaves two grandchildren, Ethan (Janet) English and Sarah (Brent) Sobry as well as two great grandchildren, Rowan and Deanna Sobry. Marjorie was predeceased by: her loving husband, Frank in 1979 and beloved daughter, Shirley in 1992. The Funeral Ceremony will be held at St. George's Anglican Church, 5th and Southern, on Friday, February 2, 2007 at 2:00 pm. The Rev. Jim Brown will officiate. Interment of the cremated remains will be in the Victoria Lawn Cemetery, St. Catharines Ontario at a later date. Marjorie is survived by: her beloved daughter, Carol (John) English of Brandon and son Frank (Annette) Saunders of Hollywood, California. She also leaves two grandchildren, Ethan (Janet) English and Sarah (Brent) Sobry. Marjorie was predeceased by: her loving husband, Frank in 1979 and beloved daughter, Shirley in 1992. Her funeral was held February 2, 2007 with dear friends Kathleen Porch of Oakville and Louise (John) Percy of Calgary also present. Marjorie was a resident of St. Catharines for about 55 years where she developed many of her closest life long friends. She was very active in the Women's Association at Queen St. Baptist Church and volunteered for the Red Cross with her daughter Shirley. Ina Grafton Gage Village was a wonderful home for 17 years prior to moving to Manitoba at the age of 88 to live with Carol and her family. Marjorie is remembered with great affection by all who knew her. She was a strong, courageous, wise and gentle woman who was always thinking of others. Thanks Mom for all that you've been and done for us; you gave us many gifts but the greatest of these was the gift of your life, your love and your faith.
