POPE: Marjorie Audrey Pope passed away peacefully with her family at her side, on Tuesday, March 23, 2004 at the Assiniboine Centre. The Funeral Ceremony will be held at Memories Chapel, 330-18th Street North, on Saturday, March 27, 2004 at 1:30 p.m. David Howell of Central United Church will officiate. Interment will follow in the Brandon Cemetery. Flowers are gratefully declined. POPE: Marjorie Audrey Pope passed away peacefully with her family at her side, on Tuesday, March 23, 2004 at the Assiniboine Centre. Marjorie was born on October 9, 1921 in Rouleau, Saskatchewan, the daughter of Alexander and Bertha Henderson. She was one of nine children in the family and attended school in Rouleau. Marjorie graduated from the Registered Nursing program at Belville, Ontario in 1945. She married Edmund Pope on September 4, 1946 at Rouleau and they resided in Broadview until moving to Brandon in 1954. Marjorie nursed for many years in Broadview before moving to Brandon, where she worked at the International Nursing Home. She enjoyed knitting and playing bingo and was a helpful grandma, always babysitting whenever she was needed. Marjorie is survived by: her son, David (Karen); daughters, Delee Broeska and Shawna (Tony) Bertone; grandchildren, Robert (Lori), Jennifer, and Trent Pope, Nicole, Drew and Brayden Bertone; great grandchildren, Emily and Ryler. Also surviving are: sisters, Jean (Jim) Douglas and Byrnece Henderson; special niece, Cheryl; as well as several other nieces and nephews. Marjorie was predeceased by: her husband, Edmund; granddaughter, Deanna; grandson, Kevin; sisters, Ann and Madeline; brothers, Donald, Douglas and Dale.
