COLLIER: On Tuesday, December 20, 2005 Marjorie Vivian Collier (nee Sproule), wife of Art Collier, peacefully passed away at age 84 years, at the Brandon Regional Health Centre. Mom married dad after the war in 1947 and called 2240 Rosser Avenue in Brandon home for 56 years. She was predeceased by: her son, Donald; father, Alexander; mother, Alice; sister, Olive; and brothers, William and Jack Sproule. Mom leaves to mourn: her husband, Art; daughter, Anne (Bill); sons, Jim and Norman (Laurie); special person, Jan Vriend; grandchildren, Geordie (Louise), Jeffrey, Gabriel, Sophie, and Lily; sister-in-law, Peg Sproule; nephews, John, Robert and Donald Sproule and cousin, Win Watkins. Mom was involved with many activities in her long life. A member of St. Mary's Anglican Church and the Lion's Club, mom worked as a bookkeeper in Brandon for numerous businesses and charitable organizations. Her roast beef with Yorkshire pudding, pumpkin pie and chocolate cake were without equal. Mom was a keen bowler, spoon collector, expert crossword puzzle solver and an avid fan of Days of Our Lives and Keeping Up With Appearances. The service in her honour will be held at Memories Chapel, 330- 18th Street North, Brandon on Tuesday, December 27, 2005 at 11:00 am. Rev. John Dolloff will officiate. Interment will follow in the Brandon Cemetery. The family wishes that donations in her memory be made to the St. Mary's Anglican Church Building Fund, 401 1st Street, Brandon, Manitoba, R7A 2W8.
