Marina Mineko Cram of Brandon, Manitoba passed away peacefully on Monday January 29, 2024, at the Assiniboine Centre.

Marina was born November 22, 1955, in Winnipeg to Tom and Betty Marumoto. She moved with her parents and two sisters to Brandon in 1967, attending Vincent Massey High School where she excelled academically and as an athlete, competing in Provincials in both the 60 and 100 yard events.

Marina went on to the University of Manitoba where she met her husband Jack and graduated from the Faculty of Pharmacy in 1977. She then returned to Brandon where she accepted a position as a pharmacist with Super Thrifty Pharmacy. Marina and Jack were married on September 23, 1978.

She was actively involved at Trinity United Church, serving as both a Sunday School teacher and a member of the UCW. Her athletic pursuits included Women's Senior Soccer, curling, and golf. She also loved her walks for as long as she was able. Throughout her time in Brandon, Marina belonged to the Beta Sigma Phi sorority, where she served on the executive right up to the time of her death.

She always put her children and family first, participating at their schools at Waverly Park and Vincent Massey as both a volunteer and chaperone on field trips as well as attending all of their games and events.

Marina continued her career as a pharmacist at the Clinic Pharmacy, followed by a term at Pharmasave before retiring in 2014.

She is survived by her husband Jack, sisters Naomi (Wo) Yuen and Cheryl (Lee Ferrell) Marumoto, and children Jason (Nadia), Riley (Brena), Benjamin, and Kelly.
