On Monday, July 31, 2017, Marilyn Penner, age 73 years, passed away at the Assiniboine Centre in Brandon. She was predeceased by her parents John and Elsie Lashuk, brother Gene Lashuk and brother-in-law Gordon Venables. Marilyn is survived by her husband Dave; daughters Michelle (Tim) and Shawna; sisters Eleanor and Pat, and Dave's children and grandchildren Davian (Jodi), Andrea (Mac), Tavis, Sophie and Savannah. Marilyn was a devoted wife and loving mother. She enjoyed going out for coffee with her friends, especially her cousin Phyllis. An avid gardener, Marilyn enjoyed spending time in her flower garden and her great cooking skills will be deeply missed by all, especially her husband. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff at the Assiniboine Centre in Brandon for the wonderful care of Marilyn over the last few weeks. The family will cherish her memory in a private ceremony at a later date. Donations in memory of Marilyn may be made to a charity of choice.
