ORR: Marilyn Mary Orr passed away April 7, 2004 at the Brandon Regional Health Centre. Marilyn was born on June 7, 1957, the daughter of Matthew and Iris Orr. She is survived by: her mother, Iris; sisters, Pat Henning, Audrey Gabrielle, Lorna (Joe) Cross, Dorothy (Phil) Tomms, Sylvia Arnold, Barbara Orr and Bev (John) Harding; a sister-in-law Colleen Orr as well as numerous nieces and nephews and her little dog, "Mickey". Marilyn was predeceased by: her father, Matthew; her brothers, John Thomas and Jim Orr; brothers-in-law, Bob Arnold, Harvey Gabrielle and a cousin, Jim Orr from Ireland. Marilyn was born and raised in Alexander, Manitoba. She attended the Alexander School as well as George Fitton School, Cor-Enterprises and ARM Industries. She worked at Canadian Tire as well as Chicken Delight for many years. Marilyn enjoyed attending Wheat King Hockey games. She had a great love for animals and taking her dog for walks. Marilyn bowled five and ten pin games and won many trophies. In 1986, Marilyn went to Calgary with the Special Olympics and her team won a trophy that year. She enjoyed the holidays, especially Christmas. She was a very caring special person in which we will hold dearly in our hearts. Although Marilyn struggled with her health the last few years, she was a great help to her mother and her sister, Barbara. She will be sadly missed and always remembered. The funeral service will be held at Memories Chapel, 330-18th Street North on Monday, April 12, 2004 at 2:00 pm. Capt Garry Keeping will officiate. Interment will follow in the Alexander cemetery.
