METELSKI: The death of Marie Alexis Metelski occurred on Tuesday, April 17, 2012 in Calgary, Alberta. Marie was born at Menzie, Manitoba on March 30, 1942. She was predeceased by her father, Stephen Labay, mother, Martha Labay (Maduke), her son Todd and husband Peter. Marie leaves to mourn, her daughter Colleen and son-in-law, Anthony Schneider, beloved grandchildren Reid and Autumn as well as her only sister, Virginia Kenney. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Mary's Ukrainian Catholic Church, 927 Assiniboine Avenue on Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at 10:30 am. Celebrant will be Rev. Fr. Michael Tkachuk. Cantor will be Stella Fedeniuk. Interment will follow in the Brandon cemetery. In lieu of flowers, friends who wish may make a donation in memory of Marie to the Brandon Humane Society, 2200 17th Street East, Brandon, MB R7A 7M6.
