WEBSTER: Margaret Flora Webster ( nee Shaw) of Brandon passed away at the Assiniboine Centre on Thursday, May 11, 2000. Margaret was born in Brandon on March 7, 1918. She received her education at King George, Earl Haig and Brandon Collegiate. On April 22, 1941 Margaret married Clare A. Webster and together they raised two children Wayne and Joanne. In early years Margaret worked at Eaton's groceteria and later in life at Brandon University Food Services. She was a member of Knox United Church and the U.C.W. and enjoyed many hours in her quilting group at the church. Margaret also enjoyed her years of five pin bowling at the Recreation Lanes. Margaret will be lovingly remembered by her son Wayne (Geraldine) and their children David and Diana; daughter Joanne (Ron) Fortin and their children Danielle, Whitney, Michael and Dane. Also surviving are sisters, Noreen Johnston of Winnipeg and Dorothy Braitenbach of Calgary; a brother Donald Shaw of Winnipeg; numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Donald and Amelia (Mame) Shaw; husband Clare "Tubby" Webster; and a sister, Bernice Watkins, of Calgary. The graveside ceremony was held on May 17, 2000 at the Brandon Cemetery. Urn bearer was grandson David Webster of Pitt Meadows, BC.
