JANZ: Margaret Wilma Elizabeth Janz, 85, passed away on August 21, 2003 at the St. Boniface Hospital. Wilma was born, December 28, 1917, on the farm south of Newdale the daughter of William and Margaret Waddell. Wilma received her education at the Oldale and Newdale Schools. She married Thomas Martin in 1939 and they farmed in the Basswood area for many years. Thomas passed away in 1967. In 1972, Wilma married Edwin Janz. Edwin passed away in 1989. Wilma was a very kind and independent person and enjoyed living at the Lion's Manor since 1989. Having people in for a meal or tea made her very happy. Wilma always was interested in her family and what everyone was doing. She is survived by: her son, Wayne (Dorothy) of Montreal, daughter Fay of Brandon and Gloria of Winnipeg. There are seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She also leaves stepchildren; Bob, David, Judy, Jean, Mike, Paul, Phillip and their spouses and families who were so supportive over the years. Wilma is also survived by, her sister, Olive Gamey and a sister-in-law, Elinor Waddell. She was predeceased by; her first husband Thomas Martin, second husband Edwin Janz, son-in-law, Glenn Ebner in 1982, brother, Ross Waddell in 1976, brother-in-law, Austin Gamey in 1995 and granddaughter, Sherri Nipper in 1998. A graveside service will be held at the Basswood Cemetery, Basswood, Manitoba on Wednesday, August 27, 2003 at 2:00 pm. Arlene Robertson will officiate. A reception will be held at the Basswood Community Hall following the graveside service. Flowers are gratefully declined.
