ADAMSKI: It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Margaret Adamski, on March 24, 2008 at Fairview Home. Margaret was predeceased by her parents, husband Mike; grandson Todd and sisters Annie, Mary (with husband John), twin sister Jessie (with husband Stanley); brother Steve and son-in law Hugh Harris. Left to cherish wonderful memories are her daughter Carol Stiles (with husband John); son Steve and daughter Pat Harris. Grandchildren: Tracie (with husband Steve and children Tessa and Brandon), Nicole (with friend Jody), Michael and Christopher. Sister-in-law Annie Chumola, special niece Bea "Cookie" Allen and other extended family and friends too numerous to mention but not to be forgotten. Margaret was born October 10, 1920 and raised in Mountain Road, Manitoba where she lived with her parents, three sisters and one brother. While there she attended school, helped at home and met the love of her life, Mike Adamski. They were married in 1945 and moved to Brandon where they lived throughout the duration of their lives. Margaret and Mike raised their family in Brandon and when the time came to slow down a bit they moved to Sokol Manor. Margaret continued to reside at Sokol Manor until her move to Fairview. Margaret had a few jobs in her time, but her primary career was that of homemaker, wife, mother and grandmother. Margaret was a strong woman. She suffered a stroke at the age 42 as the result of a brain tumor but would not let that slow her down. She continued to be strong-willed, determined, witty, extremely kind hearted and overly generous. She could be stubborn at times but never unkind or rude - unless it was necessary. She was an amazing cook and hooked all of her children, grandchildren and friends on perogies, cabbage rolls and countless sweet treats that endlessly filled her pantry. Our individual memories of specific "Margaret Moments" are endless and we are blessed to have these to live in our minds and in our hearts throughout our lives and to pass down to those who will survive us as well. The family is grateful to the caring staff of Fairview for assisting in her care during her final years. Prayers were said at Memories Chapel, on Thursday, April 10, 2008. Funeral Ceremony was held at Memories Chapel, on Friday, April 11, 2008. Celebrant was Fr. Michael Tkachuk. Pallbearers were: Cor Semenchuk, Gerry Baraniuk, Greg Baraniuk, John Chumola and Ron Chumola. Interment followed in the Rosewood Memorial Gardens. Donations in memory of Margaret may be made to Fairview Home, 1351 13th Street, Brandon, Manitoba, R7A 4S6. Expressions of sympathy may be made at www.memorieschapel.com.
