BUCKWHEAT: Madeline Angeline Buckwheat (mother of Dale Kamann), age 90 years, passed away peacefully on July 10, 2003 at Fairview Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Anne's Church in Tecumseh, Ontario. The family wishes to thank the wonderful staff of the Fairview Home who lovingly took time to comfort and care for Madge and to the medical staff for their professionalism and caring humanity. BUCKWHEAT: Peacefully on Thursday, July 10, 2003 in Brandon, Manitoba with family at her side, Madeline left this life with quiet dignity. She was born on March 25, 1913 in Sandwich East Essex County, Ontario. She resided in Tecumseh and Windsor, Ontario and also Garden City, Michigan prior to moving to Brandon, Manitoba. Mom was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, the Colonel Poisson Branch in Tecumseh. Her love of life included dancing, bowling, sports and crafts of all kinds. She especially enjoyed baseball and hockey. Her favorite teams were the Detroit Tigers and the Montreal Canadiens. Medeline will be sadly missed by her sister, Rose Ellen Labute (Stan), loving son Dale and step-children, Bob and Barbara Buckwheat. Granddaughters: Kelly Peloquin (Luke), Terri Lynn Hopfner (Richard), James Kamann (Kathleen), Thomas Kamann (Tara), Jackie Lynn Oke (Sam), Michael Kamann (Rhonda). Madeline is also survived by ten great grandchildren: Danielle and Arianne Peloquin, Michael and Lynnea Hopfner, Nichole and Drew Kamann, Benjamin and William Kamann, Conner and Eric Kamann and many nieces and nephews. Madeline was predeceased by: her husband Barney and by her first husband Louis Kamann, daughter Shirley Ann and by parents Moise and Annie Soulliere (nee Deslippe); sisters, Marie Parent (Harry), Gertrude Russette (Raymond), Anna Trousdale (Mac); brothers, George Soulliere (Anna), Gilbert Soulliere (Hazel), Ernest Soulliere (Jeannette). A visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 16, 2003 from 2:00 pm. to 5:00 pm. and 7:00 pm. to 9:00 pm. at Marcotte Funeral Home and Chapel, Tecumseh. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Anne's Roman Catholic Church, Tecumseh with interment following in the St. Anne's Cemetery.
