The death of Mable Ellen Corr of Fairview Home occurred at her residence on Saturday, December 29, 2001. Mable was born in the Rural Municipality of Ellice near Birtle, Manitoba on November 30, 1913, daughter of the late William and Maude McDonald, homesteaders in the district. She grew up on the family farm and received her education there. In June of 1936, she married Robert Patrick Corr. They farmed in the area for many years. Following the death of her husband in 1978, Mable resided in Birtle for a number of years before moving to Brandon to reside. She is survived by her three children: son, Robert (Elizabeth ) Corr and daughters, Myrna (Edward) Vanstone and Linda (Keith) Smith. There are seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Mrs. Corr was predeceased by her husband Robert and two brothers, Edward and Howard McDonald. Cremation has taken place. A Graveside Ceremony will be held at the Birtle Cemetery in the Spring of 2002. Arrangements are with Memories Chapel & Pre-Planning Centre, 727-0330.
