Lynne Alfreda English

Lynne English passed away peacefully on November 25, 2025, at Country Meadows Personal Care Home, with her husband Elwood at her side. (Formally of Brandon MB)

Lynne and her twin sister Lois were born on November 1, 1939, in the Hamiota Hospital.

They attended school in Kenton MB, later moved to Winnipeg and worked as telephone operators. They returned to Brandon where they attended homemaking classes.

Lynne worked at Burgess Solo Store as a clerk for 30+ years.

Lynne loved to sew and crochet doll clothes. She especially loved her yard and flowers.

Lynne is survived by her husband of 67 years, Elwood, her daughter, Shelley (Doss) Grandchildren, Kelley (Curtis) McGowan, Shanda (Neil) Harris, Brother Darcy (Libby) Kent, Great grandchildren Emmi, Luke, Lincoln, Nolan and Preston. Sister-in-law Elspbeth Denbow.

Lynne is predeceased by her parents Fred & Eileen Kent, sister Lois & Mervin Campbell, Wanda & Grant Steertz, nephew Blake, in-laws Emerson & Clara English, and her brother- in- law Allan Denbow.

A private family burial will take place at a later date. A celebration of Lynne's life will be held on Friday December 5, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Memories Chapel, 330 -18th Street North, Brandon, Manitoba.

The family wishes to thank the Doctors, Nurses and Staff at Country Meadows Care Home.
