HARBOTTLE, Loretta Margaret Harbottle (Ezzard) nee Peffers: Surrounded by the love of her family, Loretta passed away peacefully at her home 333 Durum Drive, Brandon, on Wednesday, August 13, 2003. Loretta was a devoted mother to her four children George of Brandon, Ken (Marilyn) of Kamloops, Dave (Ruth) of Winnipeg and Judy (Lyle Watson) of Neepawa. Mom was born in Midland, Ontario on March 7, 1920 the eldest child of Emily and John Peffers. In 1926 the family moved to Manitoba and eventually settled in the Portage la Prairie area. There she met and married Bill Ezzard in 1938. In 1957 she began her employment with the Portage General Hospital and remained there until her retirement in 1971. Loretta's husband, Bill passed away in 1968 and in 1971 she married Art Harbottle. Together they made their home in Brandon and enjoyed many summers at both, Sandy and Thomas Lake. Mom loved her family and friends. She particularly enjoyed her Friday night coffee and Sunday morning breakfast group. She was an avid bowler and loved to read. Loretta was predeceased by her first husband, Bill in 1968 and her second husband, Art in 1992. She was also predeceased by her brothers Jack and Clifford, stepson Jerry, and grandchildren Robbie and Angela. Loretta is survived by her four children, step daughter Gwen Linski; thirteen grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; sister Marjorie Denslow of Portage la Prairie, brother Cecil (Donna) Peffers of Port Alberni and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at Memories Chapel, 330-18th Street N., on Thursday, August 14, 2003 from 7:00 - 8:00 p.m. Cremation will follow. The Memorial Service will be held at Memories Chapel on Friday, August 15, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. Ken and Linda Forkutza will officiate. Interment will follow in the Hillside Cemetery, Portage la Prairie at 5:00 p.m. Urn bearers will be grandsons, Bill and Bob Ezzard. Flowers are gratefully declined.
