Obituary

Peacefully on January 1, 2023, Lois passed away at the Brandon Regional Health Centre with family by her side.

Lois was born to Fred and Eileen Kent on November 1, 1939 and grew up on the farm at Kenton. She took music lessons, played the organ for Sunday School and belonged to C.G.I.T. After completing grade 10 at Kenton, Lois attended the Agriculture Home Making School in Brandon before moving to Winnipeg to work for Manitoba Telephone System.

On September 6, 1958, Lois married Mervin in a double wedding alongside her twin sister Lynne and Elwood.

Lois dedicated 30 years of her life working for the Burgess Family. Outside of her professional endeavors, she found joy in line dancing and took great pride in tending to her yard and flowers.

Lois is survived by her twin sister Lynne (Elwood) English, brother Darcy (Libby) Kent, brothers-in-law Bryan (Lillian) and Donny (Nancy) Campbell, many nieces, great nieces, great great niece and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Mervin, son Blake and sister Wanda.

A private family burial will be held on her son's birthday, Tuesday, June 13, 2023 followed by a Come and Go Reception at Memories Chapel, 330-18th Street North from 1:00 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.

Donations in memory of Lois may be made to the Brandon Regional Health Centre Foundation, Palliative Care, 150 – McTavish Avenue East, Brandon, MB R7A 2B3.
