The death of Lillian Bazylewski of Brandon occurred at the Brandon Regional Health Centre on Tuesday, December 24, 2001. Lillian was born in Maryfield, Saskatchewan on November 21, 1920, daughter of the late John and Victoria Palahnuk. The family moved to Dunrea shortly after Lillian's birth. She received her education at Dunrea. Lillian later moved to Brandon where she was employed until her marriage to Fred Bazylewski on May 24, 1947. She and Fred resided in Brandon until 1968, when they moved to Calgary, Alberta. Following her husband's death in 1993, Lillian moved back to Brandon to reside. Lillian is survived by, her daughters; Marlene (Lawrence) Jumaga and Patricia (Dennis) Pybus and one granddaughter, Sylvia Jumaga (Jerome Yoner). She also leaves brothers and sisters: Henry Polk (Alice), Anne McIntosh (Elwood), Jean Kobelka (Steve), Mary Popowich, Stella Underchute and Walter Palahnuk. She was predeceased by her husband, Fred and brothers; Steve Polk, Bill Polk, John Palahnuk and sister, Pat Sokulski. The Funeral Ceremony will be held at Memories Chapel, 330-18th Street North on Friday, December 28, 2001 at 1:00 pm. The Rev. Dorrie Flook will officiate. Interment will follow in the Brandon cemetery. Friends who wish may make a donation in memory of Lillian to the Multiple Sclerosis Society, Unit B, 920-6th Street, Brandon, MB, R7A 3P8.
