BRATKO: On Sunday September 16, 2012, Leonard "Len" Bratko passed away in the Brandon Assiniboine Centre after a long battle with cancer. Len was born in Winnipegosis, MB to John and Katie Bratko. There, he grew up with four other siblings; Mike, Ivan, Mae and Paul. Len later moved to Alberta where he met and married Angeline Bodnar and blessed their family with five children. Len is survived by his loving wife Angie, children Vance (Genny) Bratko of Wetaskiwin, AB, Tom (Melanie) of Bon Accord, AB, Jim Bratko of Bon Accord, AB, Sherry (Gus) Bratko of East Port, NFLD, Cheryl (David) Large of Brandon MB, 7 grandchildren; Corissa and Kendra Bratko, Cody and Kyle Bratko, Shane, Matthew and Jordan Large, Aunt Helen (Olga) and Fedoriw and many nephews, nieces and cousins. A memorial to celebrate Len's life was held on October 6, 2012 at the Bible Baptist Church, 1203-4th Street, Brandon, MB with Pastor John Reaves officiating. The family would like to thank the nursing staff on the 3rd floor of the Assiniboine Centre and BRHA ER Staff for the love and care they gave to Len.
