ACTON: Leason (Lee) Hartley, passed away on..... at Central Park Lodge in Brandon. Leason was born December 19, 1908, son of David and Janey Acton in the Hillburn District of Rocanville, SK, where he took his schooling. On May 18, 1932, Leason married Mary Outhwaite and they farmed in the Rocanville area, where son Marvin and daughter Beverly were born. They moved to Hume, SK, where Leason managed the Saskatchewan Pool Elevator; lived in Nesbitt, MB. Leason worked for Massey Harris, moved to Winnipeg worked in a Hardware Store and laterly Triangle Auto Supplies. In 1958, they moved to Brandon, where Leason was employed with Keddy's Auto until his retirement in 1973. He was predeceased by his wife Mary in 1968, daughter Beverly in 1997 and brothers; lloyd, Russell, Lonnie, Merlin and sistrer, Florence Goodman-Meeko. He is survived by his son Marvin; son-in-law, Ross Walker; granddaughter Tracey (Eugene) Boulet, Christopher and Amanda; Jodee (Ron) Rabe, Jennifer and Tyler; as well as many nieces and nephews. A time of viewing will be held at Memories Chapel, 330 - 18th Street North, Brandon, from _________ on ______________. A graveside service to be held at Websters Cemetery, Rocanville, Saskatchewan on ____________ at ______________ with Rev. _____________ officiating. Flowers are gratefully declined. ACTON: Leason "Lee" Hartley Acton passed away on Sunday, May 30, 2004 at his residence, Central Park Lodge in Brandon. Leason was born December 19, 1908, son of David and Janie Acton in the Hillburn District of Rocanville, SK, where he obtained his schooling, completing grade 8. He initially farmed in the Rocanville area, then he became a grain buyer in Hume, SK, and in Nesbitt, MB. The family then moved to Winnipeg where Leason managed a Hardware Store, and then worked at Triangle Auto Supplies. In 1958, they moved to Brandon, where Leason was employed with Keddy's Auto until his retirement in 1973. He married Mary Outhwaite on May 18, 1932, his son Marvyn was born in 1936 and daughter Beverley in 1942. He was predeceased by his wife, Mary in 1968; daughter, Beverly in 1997; brothers, Lloyd, Russell, Lonnie, and Merlin; and sister, Florence Goodman-Meeko. He is survived by his son Marvyn; son-in-law, Ross Walker; granddaughters, Tracey (Eugene) Boulet, and Jodee (Ron) Rabe, and four great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews. A time of visitation will be held at Memories Chapel, 330 - 18th Street North, Brandon on Thursday, June 3, 2004 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A graveside service will be held at Webster Cemetery, Rocanville, Saskatchewan on Friday, June 4, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Gordon Stevenson officiating. Flowers are gratefully declined.
