Lavina Lillian Lawrence passed away on May 31, 2026, at the age of 89, surrounded by the love of her family. She leaves behind a godly heritage to her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren — a legacy of unwavering faith, love, kindness, and devotion that will continue for generations to come. 

Lavina was deeply loved by her seven children along with their spouses, her 21 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Her family was the center of her life, and she faithfully prayed for each one every day. She was a true prayer warrior whose prayers for blessings, protection, health, and strength were deeply felt by all who knew her. Throughout her life, she read the Bible at least twelve times and treasured thousands of verses that she carried in her heart and shared with others. Her faith remained strong and unwavering through every season of life. 

Lavina will be remembered for her generous spirit, quick wit, forgiving heart, strength, compassion, and endless love. She supported her family in every possible way and lovingly cared for many extended family members and friends over the years. Her home was always open to everyone, and no one ever left hungry. Whenever family or friends arrived, there was always a feast on the table and a warm welcome waiting for them. 

She found great joy in sewing quilts by hand and lovingly gifted quilts to many family members and loved ones who crossed her doorway. She also crocheted dozens of beautiful doilies, enjoyed playing games, and loved doing crossword puzzles. Whether through her hands, her prayers, or her kind words, Lavina made people feel cared for and loved. 

Nothing brought her greater happiness than spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her presence brought warmth, laughter, peace, and comfort to every gathering. Many people often told Lavina how much she was loved, and with a smile she would always reply, “I love you more.” 

Lavina is now reunited with her beloved husband of 63 years, Dwight Lawrence, who passed away on May 1, 2019. Together again, their love and legacy continue on through the family they built and cherished. 

Lavina’s love, faith, wisdom, prayers, and gentle spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Though she is no longer with us, the beautiful legacy she leaves behind will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends.
