Laura Ellen Horn (nee Wardle) passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 25, 2023 at Willowview Personal Care Home in Reston, Manitoba.

Laura was born in Salmon Arm, British Columbia on October 16, 1938. She moved with her family to the Virden area as a young girl. Laura worked for the RCMP both part-time and full-time at the Reston, Swan Lake and Souris detachments. She was an active community member and involved in Choir, UCW, Brandon Community Options, Welcome Wagon, and local museums. She also loved to travel and crochet.

Laura is survived by her son Douglas (Elizabeth), grandchildren Meagan Kieferle, Geoffrey Horn and Lindsay Horn, and great grandchildren Roman and Theo Kieferle, Ben and Charlie Horn. She was predeceased by her husband Glen Horn (divorced) and daughters Colleen and Kathleen.

The Celebration of Laura's Life will be held at Memories Chapel, 330 – 18th Street North, Brandon on Saturday, April 29, 2023 at 11:30 a.m. followed by a reception at the chapel and interment at the Virden Cemetery.
