Kylee Jade Moore
August 31, 1971 – January 10, 2026
Sadly we share the passing of Kylee on Saturday, January 10, 2026.
Kylee was born on August 31, 1971, in Brandon. She attended Riverview Elementary School, Earl Haig, and Crocus Plains High School. After graduating from Crocus Plains, she pursued hairdressing, a path that reflected her natural creativity. She worked as a hairdresser for several years before discovering a deep love for flower arranging, where her talent and artistic eye truly shone.
Kylee had an incredible gift for making spaces beautiful, whether it was decorating the inside of a home, landscaping outdoors, or creating stunning floral arrangements. Her creativity was matched by her kindness. After her daughter Chey was born, and later while Chey was in high school, Kylee worked as an Education Assistant at Reston School. Supporting and caring for others came naturally to her, though her health eventually made it impossible for her to continue working.
Horses were not just a hobby for Kylee—they were a lifelong passion and part of who she was. Born into a horse family, she received her first Quarter Horse, Totem Chance, when Kylee was only four years old, and the bond between them was immediate and lasting. Through her Gramma and Grampa Moore and their six-horse hitch of Clydesdales, she experienced one side of the horse world, while her mom and aunts introduced her to another side, Thoroughbreds.
Kylee is survived by her greatest love, her daughter, Chey, who was the centre of her world. As well she is survived by her mom, Kerry Pow; stepdad, Ewan Pow; special friend, Ryan Swanston; stepsister Sara Bell; aunts, Dena Telford, Shirley Moore, Lois Urbanovitch and her family; and cousins Erin Anderson, Darcy Anderson, Stacy Anderson, Warren Moore, Leone Rankmore, Dari Meyers, and their families. Kylee is also survived by Albert Krahn, a very special friend from her early years.
She was predeceased by her daughter Kasey; her grandparents, Bill and Dot Moore; her aunt Val Moore; her uncle Wayne Moore; and her second Grandma Annie Pow.
In keeping with Kylee’s wishes, there will be no funeral service. Cremation has taken place.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 17, at 7:00 p.m. at the Eagles Nest Restaurant in Brandon, located at the Wheat City Golf Course. Please consider this your invitation to remember her, share stories, and celebrate her life.
