Remember the way I lived, not the way I died

I look down upon you all, from my perch
in the sky
It saddens me to no end, to see
you all cry
Please wipe the tears up off your face,
when you hear my name
For I have not left you, all my
memories remain.
For you all have been here in my
time of need
I will return the favor, and be there for
you indeed
I hear you all speak at night, when you lie there
in bed
When you whisper so quietly I hear everything
that is said
We will all be together, in the
very end
You see this is lifes travels, and its
little bends
You all should really see this place up here,
it is quite a sight
You have unfinished business down there, and I
have got a show tonight
"I will always love you", is what I
have picked for a song
If I sang any other, it would just
be wrong
I stand here holding God's hand, waiting to go
out on stage
I know now that life is like a book, and everyday a
different page
Know that I have lived my life to the fullest, and not much
I haven't tried
Remember the way that I lived, and not the way
I died.
