On Friday, June 10, 2016, Kenneth Stewart Moore passed away at the Brandon Regional Health Centre Palliative Unit after a courageous battle with cancer. Ken was born June 5, 1938 in Neepawa, Manitoba to Marjorie and Harry Moore. He grew up on the family farm at Rapid City attending elementary and high school, grade 1 through 12. From an early age he had a baseball and glove in his hand and played hardball, then fastball into his fifties. Playing for the Seven Up team in the 1960s, Ken was so proud to be part of that team when they were inducted into the Manitoba Fastball Hall of Fame in 2009. In the winter he curled from the age of 15 through to 75 winning many a trophy and making lasting friendships along the way. Ken was a proud and loyal employee of the City of Brandon where he worked as an Engineering Technician for 36 years. Remaining to cherish Ken's memory are his wife Heather (nee Mundell) of 52 years; son Scott (Trena) and grandson Keaton; daughter Tanya (Tyler) and grandsons Tayden and Tripp, who will miss their beloved Dad and Grandpa. Interment took place at the Rapid City Cemetery. The service to honour Ken's memory was held on Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at Memories Chapel.
