ANDERSON: Keith Anderson, of Brandon, Manitoba, went home to be with Jesus on Tuesday, October 16, 2012. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to many. He is deeply missed by all.
Born in Winnipeg to Bjarne and Margaret Anderson, Keith was the second of four boys. His growing up years in Winnipeg presented many challenges, but Keith's perseverance, and ultimately his walk with God, allowed him to transcend obstacles he faced.
Over the years, Keith developed a wide spectrum of skills, interests and friendships. He was gifted in many ways and strove to excel at all he did. He tremendously enjoyed his many years on the volunteer firefighter crew while in Dauphin running his own business, excelled in management and education while working at Briercrest Schools, was able to apply his immense technical aptitude when he became the Systems Analyst for Simplot, Canada, and it was a highlight when he achieved his M.A. in Administration.
Keith had an affinity for adventure and was uniquely inventive, although his family often wondered at some of the gadgets and contraptions he concocted! He loved his motorcycles and had a passion for travel, even taking his Pathfinder on a winding journey from Brandon through Mexico and into Belize without ever staying in a hotel.
Those who knew Keith also know he lived much of his life in the service of others. He and Marlene fostered an amazing number of children in their home, he was relentless in providing care and opportunities for people from all walks of life, and he was very committed to helping people find healing and wholeness in their earthly and spiritual journey. Keith knew he was living with an illness, and rather than retreat, he pressed forward to live his life to the fullest in the service of God and others. He so looked forward to seeing Jesus, and was anticipating his party in heaven.
Keith is survived by his wife Marlene of 46 years, children Mark & Sherridan Anderson, Terri & Dean Munchinsky, Mike & Heather Anderson, Gary Anderson, Cheryl Merrick, 17 grandchildren, also Terri & Brian Zdrill, brother Peter Anderson and many loving extended family members.
The Ceremony to Celebrate Keith's Life was held at Bethel Christian Assembly, 440 Richmond Avenue, Brandon on Sunday, October 21, 2012. Pastor Mike Davis officiated. The family would like to thank all who have cared for Keith and supported us in his journey. Donations in memory of Keith may be made to Youth for Christ - U-Turn Program, 1228 Rosser Avenue, Brandon, MB R7A 0L9.
