KLIPPENSTINE: Katherine Klippenstine (nee Penner), in loving memory of "Katie" Klippenstine who passed away on February 20, 2003 at her residence, Fairview Nursing Home. She was born in Steinau, Russia on July 22, 1919. Katie came to Canada with her family in the mid 1920's and eventually lived for many years in the Oak Lake District where she met and married Pete Klippenstine in 1939. On retirement, they moved to Brandon in 1974. She will be remembered by: her husband Peter; children Albert (Eleanor), Peter (Brenda), Ernie (LeEllen), Irene (Ben); grandchildren Jody (Megan), Cory (Dee), Kent (MaryEllen), Richard, Ryan, Jeff and great-grandson Benjamin. She will also be remembered by: her sister Ann; brother Corny (Thelma); sister Beth (Bill); and sisters-in-law Tena and Iola. She was predeceased by: her brothers Peter and Henry; sister Mary; as well as her father and mother, Rev. Peter Penner and Anna Penner. There will be a time of visitation held at Memories Chapel, 330-18th Street North; on Sunday, February 23, 2003 from 7:00 - 8:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at Grace Mennonite Church, 951-10th Street, on Monday, February 24, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be in the Brandon Cemetery.
