CROFTON: The sudden passing of Karl Steven Crofton, beloved husband of Sheila, loving father to Bryce, occurred at Minnedosa, on Saturday, August 26, 2006. Visitation will be held at Memories Chapel, 330-18th Street, on Thursday, August 31, 2006 from 7:30 - 8:30 pm. The Ceremony to Celebrate Karl's Life will be held at Central United Church, 327-8th Street, on Friday, September 1, 2006 at 1:00 pm. Rev. Shannon McCarthy will officiate. Interment will follow in the Brandon Cemetery. Flowers are gratefully declined. CROFTON: The sudden passing of Karl Steven Crofton occurred at Minnedosa, Manitoba on Saturday, August 26, 2006. Karl was born in Brandon, Manitoba on September 5, 1962. He received his education at Riverview, New Era and Crocus Plains schools. Karl married Sheila Cleave in 1985 and his son, Bryce was born in 1997. He worked in the family business Crofton Apiaries until 1987, and then worked for Pepsi Bottling Group for 18-19 years. Karl enjoyed coaching with Brandon Youth Soccer and was very community minded and volunteered when time allowed. The sports he most enjoyed were skiing, snowmobiling, golfing and boating. He also participated in various other outdoor activities with family and friends. Karl will be lovingly remembered by: his beloved wife, Sheila; precious son, Bryce; mother, Margaret Crofton; brothers, Marvin (Charlene) Crofton and Craig (Dahna) Crofton. He will be greatly missed by his nieces and nephews, Candace (Scott), Michala and Jessica, and Nikolaus Crofton; mother-in-law, Marjorie Maxwell; sister-in-law, Sharon (Mike) Mosiuk, their children, Michael and Megan; brother-in-law, Jim (Tammy) Cleave; biological father, Ken (Ruby) Wardle of Water Valley, Alberta and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Karl was predeceased by: grandparents, Tom and Rose Smith of Virden, Gordon and Amelia Smith of Virden, Richard and Lilith Crofton of Brandon; father, Bruce Crofton; and father-in-law, Dave Cleave.
