JASON: Julia Katherine (nee Kruk) passed away at Dinsdale Personal Care Home in Brandon on Friday, October 8, 2021. Mom was born in Brandon November 25, 1927 and was raised, went to school, worked at Jarrett's Photo Studio and met her future husband all in Brandon. Dad and Mom married May 28, 1949, and together they had four children that she cherished. Mom loved going to church and met many friends doing so; she especially loved bingo and the choir at church. Mom was such a kind, sweet and loving person, and everyone that knew her loved her back. Mom will be lovingly remembered by her children David (Eva), Cecelia Martin, Nadreena (Rob) Rice and Glenn; grandchildren Shawntel (Kyle), Josoph, Tamara (Steve) and Kendall (Alexander); great grandchildren Emma, Claire, Charlotte and Harper; sisters Stella, Phyllis and Bernice; and numerous nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her husband Henry in 2012, parents Frank and Bernice Kruk and brother Frank. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Augustine's Roman Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. John Okosun as celebrant, eulogy was delivered by David Jason and Pallbearers were Robert Rice, Josoph Martin, David Easter and Blaine Easter. Interment followed at Rosewood Memorial Gardens with Glenn Jason as urn bearer. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Julia may be made to Parkinson Canada, 316 – 4211 Yonge Street, Toronto, ON M2P 2A9 or to a charity of choice.
