Obituary

JACOBSON: It is with immense sadness that we announce the passing of our loving mom, wife and "gramma", Julia Jacobson (nee Tomashowski) on April 17, 2004. Mom was recently predeceased by her younger sister, Helen and a brother Nick in 2002. Left to cherish her memory are her five children whom she adored and were her "life": Debbie (Roger), Kimmie, Teddy, Mary (Angie) and Ritchie (Corrine) as well as her seven grandchildren; Chad, Warren, Jeffrey, Jillian, Sarah, Michael, Mark. She also leaves her husband Ted. Julia was born and raised in Brandon, raising a family there. She then spent several years away from her hometown before returning to her birthplace just sixteen months ago. Mom was a very loving and giving beautiful person. She was happiest when she was with her children and grandchildren. The family wishes to extend their most heartfelt thanks to Dr. Uys and the nurses of the Palliative Unit on the second floor of the Assiniboine Centre for their sincere efforts in making mom as comfortable as possible during her time there. Cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Julia's memory to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook Street, Winnipeg, MB R3C 2B7 or to Cancer Care Manitoba, 675 McDermot Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9. The family would be pleased to receive any messages of sympathy at ritchie@westman.wave.ca. Arrangements are with Memories Chapel & Pre-Planning Centre, 727-0330. Memorials
