BOROTSIK: The death of Julia Borotsik, occurred on Friday, November 23, 2007 at the Dinsdale Personal Care Home. Julia is lovingly survived by; daughter Linda and son Richard. The Funeral Service will be held at Memories Chapel, 330-18th Street North on Tuesday, November 27, 2007 at 11:00 am. Celebrant will be The Very Rev. Fr. Michael Skrumeda. BOROTSIK: It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Julia Helen Borotsik, beloved mother, grandmother and Baba. Julia, passed away peacefully with family by her side on November 23, 2007, at Dinsdale Personal Care Home at the age of 86 years. Julia will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Linda Martinook, son Richard (Norma) Borotsik, grandchildren Mark (Wendy) Martinook, Leduc, Alberta, Kristin (Scott) Young, St. Francois Xavier, Dustin and Marty Borotsik, Calgary, Alberta, great grandchildren Ashlee and Jordan Martinook and Ryan and Jack Young and sister Stella Rose, Killarney, also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Peter Mazier and Kathleen Mazier (Vooch), husband Martin Borotsik, son Terry in infancy, son-in-law Ed Martinook, sisters Jean Penny and Mary Mazier, brothers Mike and Nick Mazier, brothers-in-law Lorne Rose and Joe Penny and niece Lorna Rose. Julia was born February 2, 1921 in Brandon and raised on a farm in Justice with two brothers and three sisters. She was familiar with the life and challenges of daily chores. After graduating from high school she went on to become a psychiatric nurse. She graduated from nursing in 1944 and shortly there after married the love of her life, Martin and resided in Brandon the rest of her life. Once her children were grown up and left home she returned to nursing at BMHC. She took pride in her work and was respected and admired by her colleagues. She was referred to as "Super Nurse" by her co-workers. Julia lived for her family. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren held a very special place in her heart. She was the best Mom, Grandma and Baba anyone could ever have. She touched many lives in many ways. Julia's passion was cooking, everything she made was delicious and you would never leave her house hungry. She was very involved in The Ukrainian Orthodox Church, The Ukrainian Womens Association Lesia Ukrainka Brandon Branch and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Retired Nurses. The funeral service
