Joyce Ethlan Carter (Swan) passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at the age of 75 years. Joyce was born on February 13, 1943 in Nipawin, Saskatchewan. Joyce met Roland in Edmonton and they were married in August 1963. Joyce was predeceased by her parents Sid and Vera. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband Roland, children Verna Mitchell (Robert), Vera Comerford (Myles) and Sheila; grandchildren Ryan (Christine), Benjamin, Travis and Madison; great-grandchildren Aria and Mason; brothers Ron (Elaine), and Wes; sister Shirley and many extended family. The Celebration of Joyce's Life took place at Memories Chapel on Saturday, May 19, 2018. Rev. Doug Craig of Central United Church officiated. Joyce was laid to rest at Rosewood Memorial Gardens. Flowers are gratefully declined. Donations in memory of Joyce may be made to a charity of choice.
