YAWORSKI: Joseph Charles "Joe" Yaworski, age 89 years, passed away peacefully at the Assiniboine Centre on Saturday, September 12, 2015. Joe was born in Brandon on July 20, 1926. He was a Navy Veteran, a mason, Shriner, a Cancer Care volunteer and a Brandon Fire Fighter for 38 years. Joe enjoyed the fellowship of the many people he met and worked with throughout the years. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, June; daughter Karen (Terry); grandchildren Ryan (Linda), Cara, Jenny and Kayla (Michael); great grandchildren Grayson, Jane and Nate; sister Jean and her family Carol, Judy and Brent. Joe was predeceased by two sons Barry and Timothy; his parents and two brothers Frank and Walter. The Funeral Ceremony was held at Memories Chapel on Thursday, September 17, 2015. Rev. Ken Delisle of Central United Church officiated. Interment followed in the Veterans' Section of the Brandon Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society 415-1st Street, Brandon, MB R7A 2W8 or a charity of your choice.
