Obituary

St. PIERRE: Joseph Louis Victor St. Pierre, of Rivers passed away at the Riverdale Health Centre on Saturday, February 1, 2014. Born November 22, 1946 at Flin Flon, Manitoba, Louis was raised in Creighton, Saskatchewan. He attended high school at Hapnet High prior to attending the University of Manitoba. Louis worked at Hudson Bay Mining and Smelting in Flin Flon from 1968 to 1975. He then moved to Calgary and worked at Alberta and Southern Gas Co. from 1975 to 1993. Wanting to make a difference in the lives of others, Louis was a member of UCT. He was infamous for his "Louis" jokes, being a computer whiz and splitting rocks. Louis will be lovingly remembered by his wife Janet, daughters Chantal Hallderson (Brent), Nichole Gilmor (Tom), five grandchildren, seven sisters and one brother. He was predeceased by his son Jason and his parents. The Celebration of Louis' Life was held at Memories Chapel on Thursday, February 6, 2014. Rev. Glenna Beauchamp officiated. Interment followed at the Brandon Cemetery Columbarium. Friends who wish may make a donation in memory of Louis to a charity of choice.
