Joseph Albert Moore

Joseph Albert Moore passed away in his home on March 3, 2026, with his family by his side.

Joe was born on August 31, 1958, to Albert and Agnes Moore and grew up in Dundalk, Ontario. He was the firstborn and forever the big brother in his family. Joe made a choice to serve God in his youth and God was faithful to him for all his life. Joe’s last years battling with Lewy Body Dementia increased his faith in God, which resulted in a peace that was felt and was so encouraging to the family as they stood by him in his last days.

Joe met Betty Jane Reid of Guelph, Ontario. They were married in 1980 and shared care and love for one another throughout their marriage. Joe and Betty Jane moved to Manitoba in July 1984, living in the Swan River Valley for 30 years where they raised their four children. It was there that they enjoyed the fellowship of the friends and workers and had an open home valued by many. Joe had a life-long interest in farming and enjoyed his years having cattle and sheep on the farm with his family.

In 2014 Joe and Betty Jane moved to Kemnay and then in 2022 to Brandon. It was during these years that they loved to travel to see family and friends abroad and have their family all together as often as was possible.

Joe was predeceased by his parents Albert (1994) and Agnes (2021). He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Betty Jane and their children. Morgan (Amber) Moore and their children: Jaynie, Ty and Caleb. Rebecca (Galen) Auchmuty and their children: Ella, Grace and Jack. Jonathan Moore and Thomas (Michelle) Moore and their children: Meliya, Kailey and Daxton.

Joe is also survived by his 5 siblings: Archie (Adele) Moore, Paul (Shannon) Moore, Debbie (Sheldon) Affleck, Jayne (Wayne) Goodsman and Cindy (Rick) Petersen. His in-laws: Donna (Doug) Jackson, Joyce (Rodger) MacDonald and Carson (Cheri) Reid. Joe is also survived by many nieces, nephews, their families and a host of family friends.
