WHITE: The death of John James White occurred at the Brandon Regional Health Centre on Friday, September 17, 1999. John was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba September 23, 1930. John was employed with the Manitoba Telephone System for 35 years. He was an active member of the Lions Club for 35 years and served as District Governor for Lions International, District 5M12 in 1983-1984. John was also involved with the Board of Directors for Westman Cable for 10 years and served 15 years as treasurer for Redeemer Lutheran Church. John is survived by his wife, Jacqui; two sons: Cam (Jill) and their children, Alycia and Deanne; son, Mark (Barb) and their children Rylee, Kallie, and Sydnee. Also surviving are John's mother, Ferne White; sister, Vivian Proden; and brother, Harry White. He was predeceased by his father, Harry and brother Bill. The Ceremony to Celebrate John's Life was held at Redeemer Lutheran Church on Friday, September 24, 1999. Rev. Ted Jannuska officiated. A private interment was held. Flowers are gratefully declined.
