THORNE: The death of John William "Jack" Thorne of Brandon, occurred at the Brandon Regional Health Centre on Friday, December 22, 2006. Jack was born in the Lake Audie District, Manitoba on December 11, 1938. Jack is survived by two daughters Rena and Jacqueline; siblings Joe Thorne, Jean Erickson, Madeline (Gilmour) Lund, Howard (Donna) Thorne. There are numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by parents John and Olive; two sons George and Clifford; three brothers Roy, Clifford, Norman and an infant sister Leona. A Visitation Service for family and friends was held at Memories Chapel on Friday, December 29, 2006. Cremation followed. Interment took place at a later date. Flowers are gratefully declined. Donations in memory of Jack may be made to a charity of choice. The Thorne family wishes to thank the nursing staff at Brandon Regional Health Centre, 4th Floor and nursing staff at Hillcrest Place for their kind care of Jack.
