Obituary

KIEZ: John Andrew "Andy" Kiez passed away at the Brandon Regional Health Centre on Monday, September 20, 1999. Andy was born September 15, 1933 in the R.M. of Strathclair, Manitoba, son of John and Emily Kiez. He received his education at the Prince of Wales School, later moving to Rossburn in 1945 where he completed his high school education. In 1950, Andy worked with the T. Eaton Company and then joined the R.C.M.P. He was posted to B.C. where he spent twenty-five years with the R.C.M.P. Following his retirement, he was then employed with the B.C. Government for twenty years, retiring in 1998. He is survived by his three sons and daughter: Evel, Patrick and Jimmy all of Calgary and Sheila Kiez of Williams Lake, B.C. There are two grandchildren, Nicole and Chantel. He also leaves two brothers and two sisters: Daniel (Elsie) Kiez of Rossburn, Peter (Ollie) Kiez of Dauphin, Elsie Hryciuk of Brandon and Lillian Puritch of Flin Flon. Andy was opredeceased by his wife Shirley, a sister Marion Catcher and a brother Mervin. A family service was held at Memories Chapel, 330-18th Street North on Wednesday, September 22, 1999. Rev. Rainerio Sarce officiated.
