Obituary

BROWN: John McGregor "MAC" of Brandon, Manitoba passed away suddenly at the Brandon Regional Health Centre on Tuesday, December 7, 1999. Mac was born on April 5, 1931 in St. Boniface, Manitoba. He grew up in St. Boniface and Brandon. From an early age, he worked as a truck driver and at the Union Stockyards, St. Boniface and the Co-op Auction Market in Brandon. Mac drove trucks for Coke, Brandon Packer's, Pepsi, McArthur's, Arnold Bros., and others. Most recently he drove for Westward Parts where he hoped to return in the Spring. In 1959 Mac married Vicky Krawec. His greatest pleasures were his family, trucking, and going for coffee with his numerous buddies. Predeceased by his wife Vicky (Krawec), and his parents Dave and Irene (McGregor) Brown, Mac will be lovingly remembered by his children: Darcy (Pam) of Minto, Manitoba, Debbie (Sal) Barcellona of Brandon, and Denise (Keith) Paul of Beresford, Manitoba; his dearly loved grandchildren Jessie Paul, Michelina and Cas Barcellona, and Aaron Brown. His sisters Phyllis (Rey) Paskewitz and Janette Brown; uncle and aunts, and numerous nieces and nephews also survive. The Ceremony to Celebrate Mac's life will be held at Memories Chapel, 330-18th Street North, on Saturday, December 11, 1999 at 2:30 pm. Interment will follow in the Rosewood Memorial Gardens. Flowers are gratefully declined. Friends may make a donation in memory of Mac to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 727B -10th Street, Brandon, R7A 4G7 or to a charity of choice. Arrangements are with Memories Chapel & Pre-Planning Centre, 727-0330.
